A busy night Wednesday in Undercliff’s district, with a “wires down” call and a separate possible transformer explosion. At the “wires down” call, a motor vehicle crash led to the electrical hazard and a brush fire. 261

The primary tool of the engine company is WATER! Recently, we spent the evening testing new nozzles that will help us get "the wet stuff on the red stuff" more efficiently.

Some smoke alarms have permanent batteries, others require new ones every so often. When you're changing your clocks this weekend, check your smoke and carbon monoxide alarms to assure they are in working order. If they are over 10 years old, please

This past weekend, Elfinwild members attended the Pennsylvania State Weekend at the National Fire Academy in Emmitsburg, MD. A memorial service on Saturday evening remembered the line of duty deaths from the previous year. Shown here at the National

Chief Rob Skertich, Lt. Craig Bettinelli, and Engineer Nate Sergent. The National Fire Academy provides 2-, 6-, and 10-day courses in leadership, safety, investigation, community risk reduction, hazardous materials, and other topics important to today's fire and EMS agencies.
